Things to Do on Cape Cod in June

June is one of our favorite months on Cape Cod: the weather is beautiful, all of our favorite shops and restaurants are open, and you miss some of the traffic that slows travelers down in the peak summer season.

If you’re staying with us in June, add these awesome events into your calendar!

Provincetown Film Festival (June 12-16, Provincetown)

The Provincetown Film Festival kicked off this week, bringing together 10,000 people passionate about film to the tip of Cape Cod. Head to P-Town to attend a viewing, watch a panel, or just soak in the energy of the Cape’s premier film festival.

25th Annual Greater Hyannis Father’s Day Car Show (June 15-16, Hyannis)

Main Street in Hyannis will be lined with more than 300 classic cars for the 25th Annual Greater Hyannis Father’s Day Car Show, accompanied by a wide variety of live concerts. When you’re done admiring the cars, check out some of the great restaurants and shops that dot Main Street!

7th Annual Taste of the Town (June 22, Wellfleet)

Support Wellfleet Preservation Hall while enjoying food and drinks from the best spots in Wellfleet at the 7th Annual Taste of the Town. More than 30 restaurants will be serving up their best dishes and auction items will be up for grabs.

WCOD Cape Cod Chowder Festival (June 23, Hyannis)

If you love seafood, there’s no better place to be than the Melody Tent in Hyannis for the WCOD Cape Cod Chowder Festival! The Cape’s best restaurants compete for the glory of being named the winner of the WCOD Chowder Bowl.

Provincetown Portuguese Festival (June 27-30, Provincetown)

Provincetown is a fishing town with strong cultural ties to Portugal, and every year, it celebrates this with the Provincetown Portuguese Festival. The weekend is filled with music, a parade, and some of the best food on Cape Cod! Head up to the festival on Sunday for the Blessing of the Fleet, where the local boats receive a blessing for safe and successful journeys in the year to come.

A pandemic escape!

Amy and her staff are incredible. The attention to detail is hands down the best. Given all that is going on in this Covid-19 world, we felt safe and comfortable. Check-in was contactless. Our room was perfect. The breakfasts were wonderful and loved the cookies in the afternoon. The icing on the cake was Sweet Pea, Amy's dog, an absolute love! Amy, thank you, we'll be back!

Outstanding getaway!

This was our second time staying at this lovely inn. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the grounds are both spacious and tranquil. There is even a pool which is an excellent way to cool off after a day exploring the nearby trails or bike path. The breakfasts are creative and delicious and very filling. Amy, the owner and innkeeper is wonderful. She takes great care of the property and is so welcoming to her guests. She is very gracious in helping with advice on what to do in the area and making dinner reservations. We were among her first guests as Massachusetts began to "open up" during the Covid 19 crisis. She took great care to assure that everything was done to make her guests safe and comfortable. We look forward to returning.
