Take a Winter “We-Treat” at Brewster By The Sea Inn

Yes, it is very quiet on the Cape in the Winter. But, yes, it is VERY QUIET on the Cape in Winter!! That’s the point! It’s the perfect place to rest, relax and rejuvenate, especially after the busy holiday season.

Fewer Visitors Means Easier Access

One of the best perks of visiting the Cape during the colder months is the ease of getting around, and into places, including your favorite restaurants and shops. Many restaurants remain open during the winter, giving you choices of various cozy fireplaces to dine next to during your stay.

Explore New Places

With the slower winter pace, you may want to take that drive you’ve always been meaning to do – to check out Falmouth, or up to Wellfleet, or Truro, or Provincetown, and enjoy the towns without too many crowds in your path.  Not all of the shops will be open, but there is plenty to enjoy by just walking around and checking things out.  And there are certainly restaurants to pop into, in case you want to get out of the cold.

If you hate to give up a beautiful sunny day during your summer vacation to bop around to museums, a winter visit will give you the chance to see what we have to offer. The Cape Cod Museum of Art continues to offer classes, music and special exhibits, and our Museum of Natural History re-opens in mid-February with some interesting talks and walks.

Appreciate Nature

If you love the special lighting the Cape offers in the summer, you will surely appreciate the low winter lighting as you walk through our forests or along our beaches. Our winter sunsets are spectacularly crisp and clear and rich in color. The familiar walks you love to take in the summer, will be totally different experiences for you to enjoy and photograph.  Our favorite places to walk in Brewster include Nickerson State Park, the Punkhorn Parklands, Wing Island, and Paine’s Creek, all of which are within a 10-minute drive of the inn.

Unplug

In today’s always-online world, it can feel impossible to unplug for even just a few hours. Head to the Cape to break away from busy life and spend a few days without feeling attached to your phone or laptop. Use the time away to catch up on your reading, check out a local yoga or workout studio, or spend time outdoors, and you’ll head back home feeling rested, rejuvenated, and clear-headed!

We’d love to host you this winter on Cape Cod! Our nine-room inn has plenty of fireplaces to cuddle up by and we’re perfectly located close to many amazing places to visit during the off-season. Book your stay today!
