Great new casual dining at the Red Nun in Dennisport

by Donna Cain

Just had a fabulous lunch at the new Red Nun in Dennisport. My  husband and I were out for his monthly haircut at Shampoo when we thought- what the heck, it’s a snowy day, the inns are quiet, why not have a nice leisurely lunch at the Red Nun. We had dined at their original location in Chatham many years ago and loved the ambiance and their delicious burgers. We were so pleasantly surprised to see their new addition in Dennisport.

They did a fantastic job with remodeling an old building. Unique tin ceiling with tasteful lighting, old wood floors, comfortable seating. You can tell I am a designer at heart as I am critiquing the decor before the food:)

Great bar with plenty of good beer on tap….

Wonderful pub style seating with additional ceiling sound tiles which our waitress said was invaluable during the summer months when the restaurant gets busy. Great welcoming staff!

Now on to the food….

The burgers and pulled pork sandwiches were to die for and the sweet potato fries perfectly prepared. The dish also came with an artisan dill pickle that was yummy! I was totally impressed and will be adding this to our recommended dining spots for our guests staying at Brewster by the Sea Inn and Spa. They also had a great special menu. Apologies for not including food pictures. I was so hungry I forgot to get pictures of the important part.

Congrats Red Nun on creating such a great eating spot on Cape Cod. We will certainly be repeat customers.
